The Venue

I will be leading this retreat at the Het Land Van Nu retreat centre, in the Groningen countryside in the North-Eastern region of the Netherlands.

The centre is  an old manor farm and is able to accommodate up to 30 people. It is now fully equipped as a yoga retreat centre. It is spacious and very peaceful.

There is a large yoga practice room with a bamboo floor and beautiful gardens. All rooms have their own bathroom attached.


 The retreat will be taught in English.

The yoga

We will be practicing together several times each day. The retreat is an opportunity to immerse yourself in your yoga and meditation practice.

Practices are based on the Advanced Yoga Practices system and will include Asanas, Meditation, Spinal Breathing Pranayama and Samyama as well as other yoga practices.

The focus of the retreat will be on the cultivation of inner silence, purification using pranayama and self-inquiry (jnana yoga).

This retreat is suitable for people of all levels of ability.

Full instructions on practice will be given during the retreat.


Food served at the centre is vegetarian. We can also cater for special diets such as gluten free and vegan, if you let us know in advance.

There will be two  meals served each day- brunch and dinner.

A lot of attention is put into food preparation and the chefs use natural organic ingredients, and/ or local produce.

The total cost  includes accommodation for 4 nights, 2 meals a day and all the yoga sessions. Tea and hot drinks are available all day.

All rooms are either single, twin (two single beds) or triple (3 single beds).


A deposit of 100 Euros is required to secure your place on this retreat. The balance will then be due 2 months before the retreat starts.

Getting there and away

The nearest airport is at Groningen. It is also possible to fly to Amsterdam and drive or take the train from there (about 2.5 hours). From Groningen the centre is about 30 minutes by car. We make arrangements for people to lift share/ taxi share from Groningen when possible.
