The Venue

This retreat will be led by Sunyata at the Canterbury Retreat and Conference centre in Florida.

The retreat center has a beautiful lake, canoes are available, docks and a walking trail. It's permeated with Stillness.

Spring is the most beautiful time in Florida with clear blue skies, cool breezy weather, blooming flowers. The beauty of the sunshine state is accentuated during this time.

The yoga

Practices will include Asanas, Meditation, Spinal Breathing Pranayama and Samyama, as well as other yoga practices.  The focus of the retreat will be on the cultivation of inner silence and peace-fullness. Full instructions in practice will be given.

All yoga classes and meditation sessions are optional, so each person can take the retreat at whatever pace suits them.

This retreat will be suitable for people at any level of experience.


The retreat will be taught and led in the English language.


Food will be vegetarian. The food served will support a yoga and meditation practice.

If you are travelling on your own, you will be allocated a room with someone of the same gender.

6:00-7:00 p.m.- Dinner

8:00 p.m. - Satsang


6:30 a.m.- Wake up bell

7:00-7:50 a.m.- Pranayama, meditation, samyama

8:00 – 9:00 a.m.- Breakfast

9:30 – 11 a.m.- Asana, pranayama, meditation, samyama   

11:00 -12 p.m.- Lunch      

12:00-3:00 p.m.- Free time/ walking/ personal practice

3:00-3:45 p.m.- Asana class

3:45-4:45 p.m.-  Pranayama, meditation, samyama

6:00 -7:00 p.m.- Dinner                        

 8:00 p.m. - Satsang
